Gasworld developed a non-chlorinated solvent anti-spatter because of concern for a welder's health when he welds through anti-spatter that contains chlorinated solvents.
When chlorinated solvents are exposed to extreme heat , as in welding operations or torch cutting, they tend to decompose , yielding phosgene, hydrogen chloride and chlorine gas fumes.
