Shielded metal arc welding of low carbon 18%Cr-8%Ni stainless steel such as SUS 304L.

Characteristics on usage:

NC-38L is a lime-titania type electrode.

As the weld metals make low carbon austenitic structure which contains suitable quantity of ferrite, crack resistibility is good and intergranular corrosion resistibility is superior to that of NC-38.

In the as-welded conditions the weld metals provide good corrosion resistibility and good mechanical properties.

Notes on usage:

1. When the electrodes have absorbed moisture, dry them at 150~200C for 30~60 minutes before use.
